シンガポール在住日本人の方の中にも、この写真をSNS等に投稿しているほどに知られてきたブラッデル駅近くのシンガポール国旗掲揚！
毎年ナショナルデー近くになると２つのHDBフラットの間に吊り下げられます。
シンガポールでは色々なスタイルの国旗ディスプレイが、ナショナルデー前になると紹介されますが、この場所で目を惹く国旗掲揚が開始されたのはシンガポール建国50周年のSG50からで、今年は11年目。
今回は建国60周年ということで、ゼロの中に漢数字の六十も小さな国旗を使って入れています。
今回、その発起人のOng Kok Cheeさんが、新聞でも取り上げられました。

近年、ナショナルデー近くになっても個々人の国旗掲揚の数が少なくなってきているようなのが寂しいところですが、新たな名所となるほどにシンガポール国旗が風に翻るのを見ると、長年この国に住む日本人の1人として「これは必要だよな」とも思えます。
今回紹介する場所は、自分のお気に入りの国旗掲揚の名所です。
