シンガポールの街中でカワウソと遭遇（2021年11月）　人気ながら、注意点もあり！

カワウソは、その愛くるしさからイラスト化されて、何かとキャラクターでも使われるほどのシンガポール！

コロナパンデミックもようやく落ち着いてきた頃2021年11月に、マリナーベイで見かけました。
ビシャンファミリーなのか？マリーナファミリーなのか？

その後もボートキーの川やオーチャードロードのコンクリートで固められた浅い水たまり程度の川でも見かけたことがあります。

人の気配も気にせずに、魚を捕食していました。

さすがにオーチャード迄進出してくるとは思わず、驚きました。

シンガポールにいるのは、コツメカワウソ ( 学名Aonyx cinereus/英語名Asian short-clawed otter ) およびビロードカワウソ ( 学名Lutrogale perspicillata/英語名Smooth-coated otter)の2種類。
よく見かけるのはビロードカワウソの方だとのこと。

ここ最近はその増加に対策が必要ではないか？という話も出ているようです。

2022年の下記記事によると、シンガポールには17ファミリー/170匹が生息（ビシャン、マリーナ、ズークファミリー等）

住宅などの池に飼っている鯉を襲って食べたりするだけのみならず、レアケースながら襲われた人もいます。
むやみに近づかないように注意しましょう。
